Roger Armstrong founded Chiswick Records, a British record company, together with Ted Carroll in 1975. Right after Trevor Churchill joined Chiswick, the company became part of Swift Records.

Armstrong formed a subsidiary called Ace Records in 1981. The Chiswick imprint closed and Ace Records became the primary label.

Roger Armstrong was one of the British music industry professionals that came up with the category of world music.
